Making a Difference.

In 2021, the Research and Technology Park (RTPark) launched the Community Impact Fund Corporation (CIF)—a 501(c)(3) nonprofit designed to increase economic opportunity and improve quality of life across the U.S. Virgin Islands. The CIF addresses a critical challenge in the region: access to capital for local entrepreneurs, small businesses, and community-based organizations.

The CIF provides tailored financial products and services designed to empower systematically unfinanced communities, including lower-income individuals, women, farmers and fishers, and other entrepreneurs of color. By offering loans ranging from $5,000 to $100,000, the CIF supports businesses at all stages of development—startups, early-stage ventures, and established enterprises. These services are essential to fostering equitable economic growth, empowering underserved populations, and building resilience within the Virgin Islands.
